We've built a robotic, camera-enabled smart ball that pet owners can control using their mobile devices allowing them to interact with their pets remotely. This product forms the core of our quantified pet platform for collecting activity and health data about pets via video processing.
We’re applying custom video processing and networking solutions towards the vision of keeping our pets happy and healthy. Our founding team has deep technical expertise and has worked at places such as Microsoft Research, AT&T Labs and Columbia University.
We are headquartered in New York, NY and we have a branch office in Taipei, Taiwan.
You will be part of a fast growing US startup with some of the deepest technical expertise in the pet technology industry. You will develop and deploy custom networking solutions for streaming high fidelity video and data in an environment where real-time performance is critical. You will have the opportunity to have a direct impact on shipping product to millions of users.
-Developing new networking protocols in C/C++ for streaming video and data in realtime
-Optimizing our existing framework to reduce latency
-Building backend infrastructure for load balancing and spinning up servers on-demand
-BS, MS degree or equivalent experience in CS
-Proficiency with C/C++
-Strong knowledge of networking protocols TCP, UDP, peer-to-peer and firewalls
-Experience with video streaming a plus
-Experience with managing cloud infrastructure a plus
